Exciting New Airline Routes for New Englanders Coming to Naples and Southwest Florida
Great news for New Englanders planning a trip to Naples and the Southwest Florida area! It's never too early to talk about the upcoming season in Southwest Florida, especially if you're a commercial airline planning new routes from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers.
New Routes from JetBlue
In the last month, several airlines have announced new routes to and from Fort Myers, with the most recent being JetBlue. On Wednesday, July 24, JetBlue revealed its plans to expand its service, introducing new routes that will connect more New Englanders to premium leisure destinations, including Southwest Florida. This is fantastic news for tourists and snowbirds who spend their winters in Fort Myers, Naples, and Cape Coral, as highlighted by Mark H. Bickel of Naples Daily News.
JetBlue's New Additions to RSW
JetBlue's winter schedule includes an average of 18 new daily departures from New England and six new routes between New England and Florida, with two of these routes connecting to RSW in Fort Myers:
- Providence, Rhode Island (PVD): One-time daily service begins on October 27. This route is classified as winter seasonal.
- Manchester, New Hampshire (MHT): Service starts on January 23, 2024, three times per week. This route is also classified as winter seasonal.
To celebrate the Manchester launch and new service from Buffalo to West Palm Beach, JetBlue is offering fares as low as $49. For more details and restrictions, visit the JetBlue website.
Other Airlines Announcing New Routes
In addition to JetBlue, other airlines like American, Breeze, Allegiant, and Avelo have also announced new seasonal flights to and from RSW, starting later this year. This influx of new routes underscores the growing popularity of Southwest Florida as a prime destination.
Real Estate Benefits
Naples real estate agent Mike Shoaff highlights the positive impact these new routes will have on the local real estate market. "This is great news for anyone looking to move or buy a second home in the Naples area," Shoaff says. "One of the big advantages of living here in Southwest Florida is the proximity to an airport with direct routes to most East Coast airports, large and small. This will definitely help real estate and increase the number of potential buyers from all these towns that JetBlue offers service from."
